Here the term ‘intelligent' used to mean simple, stand-alone techniques for doing something, like buzzing an intercom.

ADAQ R&D unit is presently engaged in developing “Intelligent front desk system” which servers many company needs in automating the front office.  In short the system can be called as IFD .This advanced system uses different technologies like DIP, DSP and also includes embedded processing. IFD reduces waiting time of the visitor. Intelligent front desk is a system that can be installed at companies, industries at the front office. IFD eliminates the need of reception at the front office.

Working of  IFD

Whenever this system notifies any visitor, voice module will be activated and it asks for information regarding the person/employee whom he wants to meet. Then IFD responds quickly in delivering the message to the concerned employee and gets the acknowledgement to the visitor. Depending on the delivered information by the employee the visitor will be given permission to enter the visitor’s room. Up to date information will also be maintained by this system which helps in informing the visitor about his/her presence within short duration of time. Digital speech processing and embedded controlling techniques are included in serving this operation effectively.
